the Quilter’s Coop family.

Here at the Coop we are busy with preparations - planning some fun new
clubs, bringing back some old favorites and working to put together a pre-cut
block of the month series for you.  We are also planning some great sales and

2010 CLUBS
We are going to run some fun new clubs and some old
favorites in 2010.  Sign up early if you are interested in a
particular one.  We have decided to run the clubs for 6
months in 2010.

SCRAPS ANONYMOUS:
Do you have a scrap fabric problem? Do you want to learn
how to deal with it?  As quilt addicts we all have them
someplace in our sewing rooms, under beds, tucked away in
closets, ect.  Each month we will get together with other
scrap collectors and talk about our inability to throw them
away, our plans that we have for them, and encourage each
other to take them out and put them to good use.  I promise
you that not 1/8” of any scrap will go to waste in this club.

The object of this club is to help you cut, organize and
use the scraps that you always planned to use “someday”.
This club will make that someday a reality.

The first month that you attend you will receive a storage
bin for keeping your organized scraps in, along with cutting
instructions.  The instructions will include how to cut, store,
and organize all your beautiful, hidden, and sometimes
forgotten scraps.

Every other month you will receive a pattern that allows
you to use those nicely organized scraps.  We will also offer a
sewing and/or cutting night for you to work on the quilt for
that month.  You will be amazed at the beautiful quilts that
can come out of your scrap basket.

Limit of 15 in this club so sign up early.

MEETINGS:  1st Tuesday of each month
FIRST MEETING OF 2010:  January 5th
TIME:  6PM
COST:  $17 per month (includes storage bin or patterns)

STASH POT PIE III:
Stash Pot Pie was so popular that we are doing it again. This
will be our 3rd year.  Every month you will get a pattern to
make a lap size quilt. This is a way to use up some of the
stash that you have hidden everywhere in your house! It’s ok
we know that you have it, we have it too!! For each quilt top
you complete and bring to club for show and tell you will
receive a certificate good for $5.  At the end of the year you
will get to use those certificates like cash.  Stop in and see the
great quilts from the last 2 years (most of them are lining the
back hallway) and see all the stash fabrics we were able to
put to good use.  Learn new techniques and tons of valuable
tips and tricks as we spend the evening munching on treats,
enjoying show and tell and sharing ideas with each other.
Call now to sign up before the club is full!

MEETINGS:  2nd Thursday of each month
FIRST MEETING OF 2010:  January 14th
TIME:  6PM
COST:  $10 per month

STRIP NIGHT AT THE COOP:
Yes, you read that right.  We are having a strip night at
Quilter’s Coop.  This will be a monthly club that will meet
the 3rd Monday of the month.

When it comes to stripping the ideas are endless. The only
thing that gets in our way is lack of imagination and that is
not something we are short on here at here at the Coop!
Come join in the FUN!  There will be patterns, games and a
few surprises.

MEETINGS:  3rd Monday of each month
FIRST MEETING OF 2010:  January 18th
TIME:  6PM
COST:  $10 per month

REDWORK CLUB:
We are going to try to take some of the work out of Redwork
with this club.  We have ordered in preprinted blocks,
eliminating the need to trace all the lines before stitching.
We are also going to give you 2 options to stitch your block –
by hand or by machine.  We will show you both ways and let
you decide how you want to do yours.  Each month you will
receive 2 new blocks to stitch for a total of 12 blocks.  The
night of club we will have a short meeting complete with
show and tell followed by some time to work on your block if
you choose.

MEETINGS:  4th Thursday of each month
FIRST MEETING OF 2010:  yet to be determined
TIME:  6PM
COST:  yet to be determined

QFL 2010 (Quilting Football League):

This "team" is designed to bring quilters and quilt shops
together for fun, quilting, classes, charity, travel and
discounts.

Please watch for more details coming in 2010. Season runs
May – August.
