Quilter's Coop Classes
CLASSES
BEGINNING QUILTING – BLOCK #4:
This is a continuation of our Beginning Quilting Series. In this class we will be making a 12” block consisting of 4 Log Cabin blocks. It is helpful if you have taken the Block #1 class previously but is not required.
All work will be done in class and you should be able to leave with a finished block.
DATE: Tuesday, January 19th TIME: 10am-1pm COST: $15
SUPPLIES: List available upon registrationNew Class Being Offered
We are bringing in Brenda Willman to teach a class for us. We first seen this quilt during one of our Stash Pot Pie Show and Tells and fell in love with it. Brenda has agreed to come in and teach the class for us.
It is called the Brown Bag Scrap Quilt and we have a couple of her samples on display in the shop if you would like to stop by and see them. She has adapted the pattern so even beginners can do it. The most important thing is to know how to get your accurate ¼” seam.
She tells us that the class is a lot of fun because we put all our strips in brown paper bags and pull out the one we will HAVE to use. So if you are like Donna & I and have trouble doing that you will enjoy the challenge as much as we are going to.
If interested you must pay for the class by January 15th to guarantee your spot.
DATE: January 27th (part 1) and February 3 (part 2) TIME: 5:30-9PM COST: $30 covers both nights and pattern SUPPLY LIST: Pick up supply list when you register (pre- cutting required)

SCRAPS ANONYMOUS:
The object of this club is to help you cut, organize and use the scraps that you always plan to use “someday”. This club will make that someday a reality.
Join us for the first meeting to learn how to cut and organize those scraps.

STASH POT PIE III:
Every month you will get a pattern to make a lap size quilt or table runner. For each quilt top you complete and bring to club for show and tell you will receive a certificate good for $5. At the end of the year you will get to use those certificates like cash. Stop in and see the great quilts from the last 2 years (most of them are lining the back hallway). Learn new techniques and tons of valuable tips and tricks as we spend the evening enjoying show and tell and sharing ideas with each other.

STRIP NIGHT AT THE COOP:
Yes, you read that right. We are having a strip night at Quilter’s Coop. This will be a monthly club that will meet the 3rd Monday of the month.
When it comes to stripping the ideas are endless. The only thing that gets in our way is lack of imagination and that is not something we are short on here at here at the Coop! Come join in the FUN! There will be patterns, games and a few surprises.
MEETINGS: 4th Thursday of each month FIRST MEETING OF 2010: January 28th TIME: 6PM COST: $10 per month
REDWORK CLUB:
We are going to try to take some of the work out of Redwork with this club. We have ordered in preprinted blocks, eliminating the need to trace all the lines before stitching. We are also going to give you 2 options to stitch your block – by hand or by machine. We will show you both ways and let you decide how you want to do yours. Each month you will receive 2 new blocks to stitch for a total of 12 blocks. The night of club we will have a short meeting complete with show and tell followed by some time to work on your block if you choose.
